"My name is Maribeth and what takes up most of my life is being a Director for an advertising/media agency. This is a fun career but generates a great deal of stress and anxiety. I was not only experiencing a lot of anxiety; I was also searching for a new way of dealing with the stress and anxiety since I had recently given up my favorite coping strategy; Alcohol. Dr Alice was warm and caring with a unique approach to dealing with stress and anxiety. During the 4 week course I learned a lot, but it was just the tip of the iceberg. I wanted to dive a bit deeper to see more of the techniques she teaches. I found out she offered a 1:1 option and I was excited to continue learning. Q: What is Somatic Experiencing exactly? A: Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body based modality designed to resolve trauma or other stuck patterns that have become lodged in the physiology. The long term effect of SE treatment is a restored sense of healthy functioning, including a reduction in maladaptive coping skills, improved sleep, and mood stabilization. The body is restored to its sense of safety and balance through these self regulating tools. You can read more about SE here.
Q: I don't think I can afford it, do you offer payment plans? A: Yes, there are three options for payment plans
Q; How do I know this will work for me? I've tried other coaching and it didn't work. SE is different than other kinds of therapy or coaching because it works with your nervous system.
Q: When does the program start? A: Registration closes Oct 1, you must have booked a call with me or paid in full prior to this date. Your first session will be the first week in Oct, we will schedule this at a time agreeable for us both.
